4^th Annual CSN Math Competition

Last Saturday, over 40 CSN students ranging from MS to 12th grade took part in the 4th annual CSN Math Competition. The competition was organized and hosted by Ms. Pegnetter's Advanced Topics in Mathematics class, which consists of seniors Lauren Guerra, Alex Rowe, Yell Newhall, Jordan Hochman, Sebastian Dounchis, and Nick Diamond. They wrote individual tests in MS Math, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, Calculus, and a team test. The team test had groups with students from different grade levels testing on questions ranging from logic puzzles to "Name That Chip." Winners of both individual and team rounds won gift cards and custom-made 3D printed boxes created by Jordan Hochman. Students made friends across grade levels and worked together to have a competitive and fun day, full of exciting math and trivia!
