On-Campus Museum![]()
The 3rd grade hosted its first annual Early Florida Living History Museum on Tuesday, March 28 in the MAC. This museum showcased early Florida history through important figures via wax museum-style presentations and artifacts. The students used secondary resources to become experts in their assigned time period. The exhibits started with the first people to come to North America and went up to the Civil War. To gain knowledge on how to create and construct exhibits, the students first went on a field trip to the Collier County Museum to see examples of different exhibits. A curator from the museum also came to our classrooms to teach the students how to create an exhibit before they began construction of their design plans. According to all visitors, the museum was a huge success!
