Last weekend, CSN's A Team won first place in the Advanced Division of the John C. Schudel Memorial Tournament, held at De Soto High School in Arcardia, FL. This was an official competition for the National Academic Quiz Tournament. The team consisted of Thomas Kralik '21, Gabby On-Cuen '20, Nick Diamond '21 and Graham Murphey '20. They went undefeated in seven matches, and were the top team out of the twenty at the competition, including teams from American Heritage and Naples High School. Thomas got the most points for a single player in the entire tournament! We are still awaiting our national ranking, but our students defeated American Heritage-Plantation, and they are currently ranked 186 in the world.
Our other team, made up of all freshman including Sarah Patel, Lucan Keyser, Jonah Findlay-McDougall, and Alan Yu, also competed in the Advanced Division and represented CSN very well, especially considering it was their very first tournament. As Dr. Watson said, "Splendid job everyone!"
